Rian M. Yaffe
Rian M. Yaffe graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and subsequently received a master's degree from Hopkins in liberal arts. Rian became an actuary; and in 1976, he founded Yaffe & Company, Inc. as an actuarial and benefits consulting firm. In 1986, the firm embarked on development of a second practice - executive compensation services. Since then, the firm has become a strong regional presence in the eastern United States with clients in most states from Maine to Georgia. The firm's focus is in healthcare and higher education. In 2007, the firm divested its actuarial and benefits practice to focus exclusively on its executive compensation and other Board governance consulting services.
Rian resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
