Overview of Surveys
Yaffe & Company conducts several surveys each year that provide valuable governance information for Presidents/CEOs and Boards of non-profit Hospitals and Colleges. We conduct annual Executive Compensation surveys in both of these sectors (see below), as well as many mini-surveys throughout the year on various current topics. All surveys are completed online, and participants receive copies of the full reports (all information is kept strictly confidential, results are provided in summary form only). Throughout the year the data collected is analyzed for white papers, articles, and webinars to provide valuable analysis of the results; updates of these materials can be found in our Resource Center.
Annual Executive Compensation Surveys
Our past participants have noted that the Executive Compensation survey and reports provide them and their boards with valuable, up-to-date, independent market comparability information. The report will provide you with current information for setting your next year's budget, and you will also have access to year-long online reports. There is no cost or fee to participate and all information is kept strictly confidential. Hospitals and Healthcare Systems
Hospitals and Healthcare Systems located from the MidWest to the East Coast are invited to participate each winter. All participants receive a complimentary copy of the survey results, which contains the demographics of all of the participating institutions and information on all of the executive positions. In addition, salary, variable pay, total compensation, supplemental retirement plans and various benefits are reported based on net patient revenue ranges and by geographic region.
Independent Colleges & Universities
Our Independent Colleges survey is conducted in the fall each year. Independent Colleges and Universities throughout the country are invited to participate via an online link, which saves your basic information from year to year. The survey includes 11 executive positions including President, Provost, and CFO, and includes information on: salary, variable pay, total compensation, supplemental retirement plans, and various benefits. These are reported based on student enrollment, operating budget, Carnegie Classification, and geographic regions.
