Keith Fenstemacher joined Yaffe & Company in 2009 as a Senior Consultant. He is the retired CEO of Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica, NY. He was named president and CEO of Faxton Hospital in 1982, and during the following 26 years he led the consolidation of three hospitals to form the Mohawk Valley Network system. During his tenure, he managed a successful financial turnaround, restructured the hospital and system governing boards, plus implemented succession planning and leadership development programs. Under his leadership, Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare was selected as a Thomson Reuters Top 100 Hospitals Performance Improvement Leader and the Mohawk Valley Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year.
Among other awards, in 2008 Keith was awarded the Central New York Academy of Medicine Humanitarian Award and the Thomson Reuters Top 100 Hospital Performance Improvement Leaders National Award. Keith currently serves on the United Way 2011 Planning Committee and the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Quality and Resource Management Committee, and is a former chair of the VHA, Inc. Upstate Region Board of Directors.
Keith received a Master of Science in public health from University of Missouri and a bachelor’s degree from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York.
He and his wife reside in New Hartford, New York.
