At Yaffe & Company, we each individually have strong ties to non-profits. We support these and many other organizations which have missions dedicated to improving the communities where we live and work.
Villa Maria Continuum
Yaffe supports various projects throughout the year for the children of Villa Maria – and also encourages employees to become engaged within the community. From science center field trips to art projects to holiday parties to helping with school work – we have a ton of fun with these energetic children!
The GIVE Program ~ Getting Involved in Volunteer Experiences 
This leadership development program is all about “cultivating civic leaders to build better communities.” Baltimore professionals spend a year attending learning seminars and hands-on workshops, volunteering, and networking that will guide them to leadership positions on non-profit boards. Yaffe employees Aubrey Mellos (GIVE Class of 2011, Advisory Board 2012) and Chris Tachovsky (Advisory Board – Membership Committee Chair 2009-2011, Executive Committee 2012) are both actively involved.
Greater Baltimore Committee
Yaffe & Company is a proud member of GBC, an organization of business and civic leaders in our community. The mission of the GBC is to improve the business climate of the Greater Baltimore region by organizing its corporate and civic leadership to develop solutions to problems that affect the region’s competitiveness and viability.
Business Volunteers Unlimited
As a member of BVU, our employees are able to take advantage of multiple volunteering events that take place throughout the city. Several Yaffe employees have attended Board Leadership Training programs and plan to also have BVU match them with community Boards who are in need of leaders and committee members. Other employees volunteer for hand-on experience with multiple nonprofits around the city.
