Sally joined Yaffe & Company is 2008 bringing close to 15 years of legal, regulatory, and governance experience to the firm. Prior to joining Yaffe, Sally practiced law with a multi-national law firm, specializing in corporate governance and compliance, including the representation of many tax-exempt organizations. Sally has extensive experience working with boards and committees on governance-related issues, including the duties and responsibilities of board/committee members; committee structure, responsibility and authority; and compensation philosophies and policies.
She has served on the Steering Committee of the Open Compliance and Ethics Group (OCEG), which drafted and edited the OCEG Framework (a private sector generated multi-disciplinary compliance, ethics and risk management construct). Sally has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Law and is a past Editor-in-Chief of The Business Lawyer, a scholarly journal published by the American Bar Association's Section of Business Law. She received her law degree, with honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in Business and Psychology from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She is a member of the bars of the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Sally and her husband reside in Baltimore, Maryland.
